Dr. Sage HumphriesDr. Sage Humphries is a Southern California native. After graduating from Laguna Beach High School, Dr. Humphries attended the University of California at Irvine, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Upon graduating, he was elected into both the Golden Key and Phi Beta Kappa national honor societies. Dr. Humphries did not stray far from home when selecting a dental school, where he attended the University of California at Los Angeles. Graduating with high honors from UCLA Dental School, he received numerous awards for his academic and clinical performance and was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. Subsequently, Dr. Humphries made the trek across Los Angeles to the University of Southern California, where he completed three years of specialty training in orthodontics. Dr. Humphries received his Certificate of Achievement in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology from USC. Additionally, he was elected into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. 

Dr. Sage Humphries is well versed in all aspects of orthodontics.  As a post-doctoral orthodontic resident at USC, he was instructed in the latest orthodontic technologies, including the use and placement of temporary anchorage devices (TADs), Invisalign® (invisible braces), and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). In order to earn his Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology, Dr. Humphries completed extensive research on TADs for his master’s thesis. Accordingly, Dr. Humphries prides himself on not only treating his patients with the utmost interest and consideration, but also providing them with the latest in cutting-edge orthodontic technology and state-of-the-art orthodontic care.  Dr. Humphries places great importance on ensuring that all orthodontic treatment is personalized tailored to each patient’s individual needs and enthusiastically lends his energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to each of his patients. 

Dr. Humphries remains involved in many dental organizations and is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics, the American Dental Society, the California Dental Association, the Orange County Dental Association, and the Academy of Orthodontic Excellence.

When not shaping sensational smiles, Dr. Humphries enjoys traveling with his wife, Dr. Alene Le-Humphries, also an orthodontist. In his spare time, Dr. Humphries produces and publishes a weekly Macintosh tutorial podcast called the Hey Sage Podcast. As well, alongside practicing orthodontics, Dr. Humphries also enjoys a variety of water sports. You may even catch him surfing or outrigger paddling in Newport Beach. Other hobbies include guitar playing, photography, and graphic and web design.
